Pride Factor Academy Launches Game-Changing Interactive Digital Workshops
Inspired by Nelson Mandela’s famous observation that ‘Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world’, the Pride Factor Academy has launched a game-changing series of interactive digital workshops designed to stimulate, guide and mentor the country’s teenagers and young adults.
These innovative live workshops provide the tools required to improve the quality of life for the millions of learners in formal education, and the millions more not in education, employment or training (NEET), who are facing a bleak future due to the restrictions caused by the Coronavirus pandemic.
“As Madiba so profoundly highlighted, education is the key to solving all the major problems facing the world ranging from poverty, gender and racial inequality and dealing with disease to creating a sustainable planet and fostering peace,”Dene Botha
“With the traditional education system currently constrained by limitations on physical contact, and large parts of the curriculum and many of the teaching methods either outdated or no longer addressing the needs of contemporary youth, Pride Factor is really excited about launching this series of ground-breaking digital workshops, and to building a community of future leaders eager to improve their lives and the world they will inherit.”Dene Botha
Using universally available technology to reach anybody anywhere, combined with six years of feedback from more than 57,000 youth, the workshops cover the topics most relevant to today’s youth, are presented by experts in their fields in an easy to absorb ‘edutainment’ style and are interactive, enabling the students to participate in Q&A sessions with both the presenters and their fellow attendees.
“The workshops inspire a willingness to learn, which is one of the keys to success, and address aspects such as Emotional Intelligence, Creative Thinking and Self Discovery along with Entrepreneurship, Work Readiness, E-Commerce, Communication Skills and many more,” adds Botha, who was recognised as one of 2019’s 100 Most Influential Young South Africans in the fields of Philanthropy and Social Enterprise.Dene Botha
“Feedback from our pilot three-day workshop on ‘How To Thrive’ is very encouraging with 100% of the participants agreeing that the subject matter was relevant, the presenters were knowledgeable, the 60 minute duration was ideal, the workshop sessions were fun and most importantly, the engagement with the presenters during the interactive Q&A sessions was particularly beneficial.”Dene Botha
A final free pilot workshop will be run between 4pm and 5pm daily on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, 21-23 July. Titled “Welcome to the New Normal”, there is no cost and participants can register at www.pridefactoracademy.com/digitalworkshop/. Note that numbers are limited and applicants will be accepted on first-come-first-served basis.
Pride Factor’s digital workshops also can be customised for private groups, outreach projects, educational enterprises, incubators, public and private sector entities, NGO’s and more, including coaching education practitioners who are keen on mastering this game-changing interactive technology.
